Procedure
I generally paint from digital photographs
that I download onto my computer. I prefer to take the photographs
myself, but if the client chooses to provide a photo, it is essential
that it be of high-quality resolution. A photo session will take
from one to two hours. I can also paint from life if a client
prefers. A portrait from life can be painted in my studio or at
a location of the client’s choice. Together the client and
I will decide upon the size, setting and mood of the painting,
clothing to be worn and accompanying pets or objects. Before beginning
the painting I will show a sketch to the client for approval.
For those clients who live at a distance from me, I can photograph
the painting at different stages of the process and send J-Pegs
for approval.
